Apparently we humans are making a real mess of things. From where I sit, for most people things are looking pretty glum — brutal, in fact. There's the energy crisis; if the electricity goes off my entire Internet education business is doomed. But I see a lot of other crises taking place around the globe. There’s the subprime crisis, which is affecting banks all over the world; there’s a housing crisis; a global food crisis; a global warming crisis; and the price of oil which has been falling will soon rise again. The global oil shortage is real.

I read news that says some people are being forced to choose between buying food and paying for the fuel they need to get to work. One guy wrote to me telling me that he had to borrow from his employer in order to buy gasoline to get to work! Isn’t that awful? Many people are losing homes due to the sub-prime mortgage mess.

There’s a lot of stuff in my files about how pornography is rampant, and national morals are at an all-time low. There are just so many problems out there that people everywhere are filled with fear. I see fear of terrorism, and fear of weather disasters, fear of big government, fear of making ends meet, and fear of war. Last year there was a drought in the southern hemisphere that created a shortage of wheat. There’s something in my files about rice riots in Malaysia, and protests in Italy because of the rising cost of wheat.

There’s something, also, about freak weather in various parts of the globe , and that there is already a shortage of food that will affect people all over the world. It all makes me glad that I planted a garden. But, as I said earlier, I’m concerned about the energy crisis. Thoughts of rolling blackouts and brownouts are not something that makes me happy.

PROBLEMS EVERYWHERE...

The problems are everywhere to be found. All you have to do is pick up a newspaper, a magazine, or turn on the news. The cost of medical treatment, prescription drugs, and insurance of every kind is soaring. However, THERE ARE SOLUTIONS, and that is what I am writing to you about.

In reading over the letters I receive, I see that people everywhere want help. They want protection from market shocks; they want good, sound advice.

If I mention a trade or investment of any kind in one issue of the news-blog, it may not be mentioned again until it is time to take profits or give additional news. The news-blog will be like an ongoing source of information.

I might suggest an option trade in futures or stocks. The trade could be to buy or sell an option. It will be up to you to decide what you want to do.
